Raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, I hold a BA in Folklore from Memorial University and an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University.

As a folk-media artist I use a wide variety of available tools and technologies to record and tell stories. My methods currently include the traditional east coast craft of rug hooking, video, interactive online art, games and writing.

My work aims to distill and translate bottom-up storytelling culture which arises out of our vastly interconnected world. With an anti-ideology-ideological perspective, I investigate the fringes of cultural practice and embrace challenging new narratives.

I believe that art has the power to shape reality as well as reflect it and I am committed to brining about positive change through the radical reconstruction of the media landscape.

Much love,
